Young single homeless black women aged 17-21 with low support needs. Must have a local connection to LB Haringey. Priority to those who have been in local authority care.
Will not accept
Those with drug or alcohol problems. Those with a history of serious violence.

Referral agencies
Accept self referrals and referrals from agencies on approved referral agencies list. Agencies can write to request to be added to list.
Referral procedure
Accept self referrals and referrals from named agencies. Self referrals phone (Mon-Fri 10am-4.30pm). Agencies are notified by fax each time there is a vacancy. Referral form completed by agency and applicant. Interview.

Support services
2 full time and 1 part time staff visit houses weekly. Compulsory keywork system. Initially meet residents once a week then fortnightly. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed monthly. Staff offer one-to-one support on all aspects of life skills, budgeting, training, education and employment. Staff make referrals to external agencies as appropriate.
Access to move-on
Resettlement programme to help residents prepare for independent living. Have 2 housing association nominations and 2 local authority nominations each year. Follow-up support for 6 months.

Ackee Housing Project provides temporary shared accommodation and support for 15 young single black women aged 17-21 who have a local connection (family or have grown up in the area) to LB Haringey, particularly those who have been in local authority care.
